Deutsches Technikmuseum

Today the city woke up in a very grey morning. However, I heard that Germans say that there’s no such thing as bad weather, there’s only improper clothing. And actually, I couldn’t agree more. So, since the rain is going to last the rest of the week I wonder: what to do in a rainy day in Berlin? Pick up your umbrella and join me in new discoveries.

I think it’s the perfect day to show you my first museum, the Deutsches Technikmuseum. This museum of techonology focuses on rail transports, industrial technology, computer history, photography, cinema, everything you can imagine in this area. I’m mentioning this museum because it’s a bit off radar, being far from the city center. The same happens, though less pronouncedly, with the Museum für Naturkunde.

It’s the kind of place you can search for hours, and get lost in it. There’s a lot of experiments and visible tryouts, even if you are not into science, it’s wonderful to learn how things work. My favorite part is the photography and cinema collection, with a full range of all cameras that existed and how they work. It’s amazing.

So this week go there and learn news things, it’s a good place to hide from the rain :)
